Bespoke shirtmaking sits at the heart of MAYFAIR & LEGACY. Each shirt is created through a personal consultation and cut to an individual paper pattern, developed to reflect the client’s proportions, posture, and preferences. From cloth selection to final construction, the process is guided by precision, balance, and traditional English standards.

Private Consultation
A bespoke experience begins with a personal consultation.
In this one-to-one session, our specialist adviser discusses your style preferences, intended use, fit goals, and design details. This sets the foundation for a shirt that is truly yours.

Fabric Selection
Clients choose from a curated selection of shirting fabrics sourced from some of Europe’s most respected mills.
Fabrics are chosen for texture, performance, and longevity — emphasizing quiet refinement over trend.

Measurements & Analysis
Our head cutter takes comprehensive measurements tailored to your body, posture, and stance.
These measurements go beyond standard sizing — shoulder slope, posture, arm rotation, and body alignment are all considered to achieve a superior fit.

Pattern Creation
A unique paper pattern is drafted specifically for you based on your measurements and stylistic preferences.
This pattern becomes the blueprint for your shirt and is archived for future use, ensuring continuity and refinement over time.

Construction & Finishing
Using traditional techniques and expert handwork, each shirt is cut and assembled by our skilled shirtmakers in England.
Collars, cuffs, plackets, and button details are finished with care to ensure a garment that is enduring and refined.

Fitting & Refinement
On completion, your shirt is presented for fitting.
Any final adjustments are made to ensure the shirt meets the bespoke standards of comfort, proportion, and balance that define the house.
TRUNK SHOWS
For clients based outside London, MAYFAIR & LEGACY offers bespoke consultations through seasonal trunk shows held in select cities worldwide.
These appointments allow clients to experience the same level of consultation, measurement, and guidance as in-person visits, while maintaining continuity across future orders. Trunk shows form an integral part of our relationship with international clients, ensuring consistency of service wherever they are based.
